> FINDING A JOB
The Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper carries the supplement Jobs on Mondays, with over 400 job postings, most of which are in English. You can look in that paper as a start.
The Internet plays an important role in job hunting. Visit the websites suggested in our Useful Links section. You will find thousands of job offers in Poland. Most of these offers look for English-speaking foreign personnel to work in the country.
Although most companies prefer people who speak English and any other European language, it would be wise for you to learn Polish. You will find it useful to get by the first months in the country.
Job offers published in local papers still play an important role in helping people to find their first job.
Furthermore, temporary job agencies, the public job offices, and the centres of professional education are still the intermediaries able to help in the job seeking process.
