If you wish to work and stay in Romania for over 30 days you must submit the following documents to the local Romanian Consulate in your country (ask your local Embassy for further information regarding the type of documents needed, as they may change depending on your citizenship):
- A valid passport
- One passport sized photograph
- A letter from your future employer mentioning the purpose of the travel and dates of arrival / departure
- The completed application form and corresponding fees
- The requirements for residency permits vary depending on your country of residence. Please refer to the consular office of the nearest Romanian Embassy for more information on the subject.
> FINDING A JOB
You can browse through job postings online, and also contact temping agencies in Romania for information on the latest job offers.
Internet resources are growing day by day in Romania, so your chances of finding a job online are better than in any other Eastern European country.
Please check the list of newspapers under the Local Papers section on this page. Most of them are in English, and are updated daily.
Job ads can be posted in the print version of the newspapers. You could try and do it online by sending an email, or just buy a copy of the most popular papers once you are in the country. It might be easier, and faster, to do this.
